    MELT AND POUR SOAP BASES

Do I need to let the soap base ‘cure’ once I have poured??

No. Melt & Pour is different from ‘Cold Process’. Melt and pour soap base is already reacted, and cured. Once melted you simply pour, and leave to set. The term ‘cure’ is used to describe soap that is still reacting and neutralising fatty acid content whilst setting. This is not the case with Melt & Pour.

Can I use essential oils in your soap?

Yes, you can use essential oils however they can have various impacts on the soap, for example; setting time, hardness, clarity and so on. Please do your own sample testing to be sure of compatibility.

Why has water appeared on the surface of the soap when I leave it out?

This is described as ‘sweating’ or ‘glycerin dew’. It is caused because the soap has been left out in the atmosphere un-wrapped. The soap base contains various ingredients that act as humectants, these attract moisture and beads of water will start to sit on the soap. A number of factors contribute to this, storage, ambient temperature and humidity, air pressure. The best way to avoid this is to wrap your soaps.

Now I have my soap how do I melt it?

Cut the soap down to manageable pieces, chunks or slices. You can then add to a heated vessel, pot, or melt in the microwave – however do watch the temperature, as it is possible to lose moisture and water content from the soap if overheated.

Do you test on animals, or are any of your ingredients animal derived?

No, we are strictly against animal testing and all our soap bases only use vegetable derived ingredients with the exception for the Goat’s milk soap base.

How many times can I re-melt the soap??

There is no limit to how many times you can re-melt the soap bases but be aware of any moisture you may lose during this process as this can alter the balance of the soap base formulation. So always cover the soap base when you melt it.

Will fragrance and essential oils make my transparent soap hazy and cloudy?

Depending on the essential oil/oils used and the amount, it could cause your soap to be cloudy. The ‘free’ oil in the soap base that is un-reacted or not part of the formulation can cause clouding and Essential Oils are no different.

    What molds should I use?

Normally we would recommend either plastic or silicone molds, as metal molds can often stick to the product, but molds for chocolate often work well too.

Where can I buy your product?

You can purchase our products via our website or simply walk in to our physical storefront at the following address; Ruby Industrial Complex, Genting Block, 80 Genting Lane, #03-07, Singapore 349565

What packaging do you use for the melt and pour soap bases?

Our Melt and Pour soap bases are packaged in a 1kg plastic container.

    CASTILE LIQUID SOAP BASES

What is Castile Soap made of?

Castile soap is a type of soap that is made primarily from olive oil, although other vegetable oils such as coconut oil and sunflower oil may also be used. The name “Castile” comes from the Castilla region of Spain, where this type of soap originated. Castile soap is known for being gentle and all-natural, and is often used as a base for making other types of soap or as an ingredient in personal care products such as shampoo and body wash.

    Is castile soap all natural?

Castile soap is often considered to be all-natural because it is made primarily from vegetable oils, such as olive oil, coconut oil and sunflower oil, and does not contain harsh chemicals or synthetic additives.

Is castile soap good for everyday use?

Castile soap can be a good option for everyday use, as it is made from natural ingredients and is gentle on the skin. Castile soap is also versatile and can be used for many different things, such as a body wash, shampoo, face wash, laundry detergent, and even as a cleaning product. It’s gentle enough for babies and people with sensitive skin, and can be a good choice for those looking for a natural and eco-friendly alternative to traditional personal care and cleaning products. So yes, Castile soap can be a good choice for everyday use.

Where to buy your Castile soap?

If you are looking for top quality liquid castile soap at the best economical price found in Singapore, look no further! SingaporeSoap.com is a local castile soap shop, producer and bulk supplier of castile soap bars and liquid castile soap in Singapore! You can purchase our Castile Soap directly thru our website or via third party e-commerce platforms like Lazada and Shopee. Feel free to contact us separately for bulk or wholesale quantities.

Is castile soap good for your skin?

Castile soap is generally considered to be good for the skin, as it is made from natural ingredients such as vegetable oils and does not contain harsh chemicals or synthetic additives. The olive oil that is used to make Castile soap is known to be moisturizing and can help to nourish and hydrate the skin. As with all skin care products, it’s best to patch test first before using it on your entire body if you are unsure of your skin’s sensitivity. Castile soap can be used as a body wash, shampoo, face wash and also as a laundry detergent. It’s gentle enough for babies and people with sensitive skin, and can be used to make a variety of homemade cleaning products.

Can I wash my face with castile soap?

Yes, you can use castile soap to wash your face. Castile soap is gentle and non-toxic and can be used as a face wash. If you have dry or sensitive skin, it’s best to patch test first before using it on your entire face. Use either room temperature or lukewarm water (avoid using hot water) for facial washing. Moisturise and apply toner after washing your face with castile soap to help lock in moisture and nourish the skin.

    Is castile soap an antibacterial?

While Castile soap can effectively cleanse and remove dirt and grime from the skin, it does not have any added ingredients specifically formulated to kill bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms. Antibacterial soaps are specifically formulated to kill bacteria and are often used in medical settings or in situations where a high level of hygiene is needed. It’s also important to note that overuse of antibacterial soaps may lead to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and the World Health Organization recommends using just soap (like Castile Soap) and water as the best way to clean your hands and body.
