Anyone that wants to get into soap making would likely have heard of cold process soap making and many unfamiliar terms like saponification, trace, lye, rebatch, and more. This can be confusing for beginning craft makers. At Singapore Soap, we have created our basic cold process soap making class for beginners where students can learn more about the list of important soap terms that you may come across as a beginning soap maker. You will also learn the safety of using lye a.k.a. sodium hydroxide or caustic soda, the process of saponification i.e. mixing lye with vegetable oils in the class to make your own handmade soap and the benefits for making soap from scratch.

NOTE: This is an age 18+ class since making soap from scratch involves working with lye (aka sodium hydroxide).
